New ArchiCAD & IFC Exporter released for Revit

“GRAPHISOFT Announces Updated Plugin for Revit Structure, Revit MEP and Revit Architecture

GRAPHISOFT is fully commitment to supporting IFC and backs up that commitment with action. The company has released the plugin for Revit 2014. Accessing the updated plugin for the GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD Connection – a free Add-In for several types of Autodesk Revit software (including Revit Structure, Revit MEP and Revit Architecture) improves the IFC model-based and bi-directional data exchange between GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD and Autodesk Revit applications.

It works in two ways. Namely “Improved IFC Import” imports IFC models to Revit using extra features that improve the interpretation of architectural models, and “Export to ArchiCAD” exports Revit model elements in IFC files that are specially enhanced for use in GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD.

The manual has some additional helpful information.

Following installation, the application will be available from the Add-Ins ribbon of the respective Revit application.”
